Entry Funding

Entry

Entrance to the course is by audition only for applicants aged 16 and above. Auditionees must be of a satisfactory standard in one or more genres, whilst showing a respectable academic level. In some cases Masters will accept applicants with no previous training providing they show potential and have the correct physical attributes. Auditions are held regularly throughout the year.

Auditions

On receipt of your completed application form applicants will be informed of their audition date. Audition day consists of a classical ballet class, and a jazz class, followed by own choice, solo acting and song. Applicants will be required to wear the correct attire for each discipline.

Health Insurance

It is strongly recommended that students take out their own health insurance prior to the commencement of the course. All students must register with a local GP

Funding

There are various funding methods available to students and their parents. At present Masters operates its own Scholarship and Fee Assisted program

Scholarships

Scholarships are given entirely at the discretion of the directors and are very limited. Students are graded at their audition and those who meet the desired criteria will be offered a full scholarship which allows a student to attend Masters without paying the current fees for their entire 3 year course. However Scholarships can be removed at any time if the students work falls below that expected by Masters or is abused in any way. Scholarships will be reviewed on a termly basis.

Fee Assisted Places

Fee assisted places are also given at the discretion of the directors. Students are again graded at their audition and can be offered discounts on the current term fees depending on their potential and long term commitment. Fee assisted places are again reviewed on a termly basis and the above terms once again apply. The amounts of fee assistance can therefore vary from student to student depending on ability and potential.

Sponsorship & Charitable Trusts

Students may also consider trying to obtain some form of sponsorship from local or large businesses. Charitable Trusts have also been known to help students in their quest for funding.

Tuition Fees

Tuition fees are paid termly in advance. However we do have facilities in place for those who may wish to pay monthly but these will incur extra costs. If you wish to discuss this please ask to speak to The Financial Director. Fees can be paid by cheque or electronic bank transfer.

Withdrawal from the College

The College reserves the right to require the withdrawal from the College of any student who does not appear likely to benefit from the training provided. One full terms notice in writing must be given by a parent wishing to withdraw a student from the College. Should a student be withdrawn without such notice being given, it is part of the contract between the parent and the College that the parent shall pay the fee for the term next following in addition to any fees for the term in which the student is withdrawn.

The College Sponsorship Scheme

The College operates a small scholarship scheme. Everyone is graded at audition and depending upon this grade you may be eligible for scholarship consideration. As these scholarships are limited they are rigorously means tested and only a small number of students receive an award.
