Masters DIPLOMA - 3 year course

We offer a three-year course under the guidance and direction of an industry-led faculty. Completion of vocational training leads to the in-house Masters diploma, the course is accredited by The Council For Dance and Education.

We are committed to providing an excellent standard of further education. With a reputation for taking risks and celebrating originality, we encourage our students to explore their artistry without fear or judgment.

Students are also able to study ISTD teaching exams (DDE) in the subjects of tap and modern. This is an extra chargeable curriculum subject. The Masters in-house diploma qualification is non-advanced.

YEAR 1

Introducing the student to the fundamental principals of each subject. Along with providing a thorough grounding in technique and a theoretical understanding of the subject matter.

Identify key areas for both guided and self improvement.

To develop confidence and awareness whilst nurturing the individuality of the student. To guide them to a level of in-house performance and prepare them toward their second year of training.

YEAR 2

Encouraging students to begin to focus on their potential career path, whilst consolidating the technical competencies achieved in Year one hence building on the core subjects with an emphasis on strengthening the student, broadening knowledge and furthering technique. Performance opportunities are heightened and students are encouraged to be self-analytical and to develop further skills and knowledge in preparation for the graduating year. Year two is a continual assessment throughout to monitor progress.

YEAR 3

The main emphasis is to prepare fully the student for their intended profession. Students are exposed to a variety of visiting choreographers, musical directors and guest artistes. Prominence is given to audition technique and developing a professional portfolio.
